This family tree encompasses my research on my Hubbard line.It starts with William Hubbard, born about 1575 in England.It traces the line through the immigration of his son and grandson in 1635, to Ipswich, Ma.The line does not include everyone who is a descendant, only what I have found so far.I have definite proof of the line from Lazarus Hubbard (1748- dec. aft. 1810) to the present.I have definite proof of William Hubbard through to Leverett Hubbard (1723-1793).However, as of now, I cannot prove that Leverett was the father of Lazarus.The only "proof" is that someone sent in their lineage to the DAR and said Leverett was the father of Lazarus.Further, the two came from the same area in Massachusetts.Leverett can be proven to have married late in life.It is highly possible he was married earlier and if so, perhaps Lazarus was a child of that marriage.However, when Leverett died in 1793, he listed no children in his will, only two step children by his wife who he married late in life.Since Leverett was a state surpreme court judge, it seems unlikely that he would have remained unmarried for so long a time, thus the possibility he had an earlier wife.
The end result is that I cannot say that our line of Hubbards can be proven beyond Lazarus Hubbard.Also, Harold B. Hubbard Sr. (1897-1990) was adopted by his parents at birth, and we are not related to the Hubbards by blood anyway.But I did the research on the Hubbards, since it was impossible to find the real parents of Harold Hubbard.
