| Searching for any information on the surname Hubaker. I believe the family may have Swiss mennonite roots beginning in Weidlesbach, Switzerland. The original spelling of the name was probably Hubacher. I know that a Christopher Hubacher settled in Evansport, Ohio in the 1800's. His wife's maiden name is believed to be Eliza Koezig. Information points to states including Ohio, Michigan, Mass. so far.Surnames include Hubaker, Koezig, Carpenter, Bell, Gilpin, Denman, Hanna, and Gorrell . |
