Hudson/Dock Family Tree

I am Alyssia Hudson. I have just recently began researching my family's history. I have a start but I would like to learn more. if you have any information or advice, then please feel free to give me a hollar!!
I do know some things aobut the Dock side of the family. Seven brothers came to America from Scotland. Some of them kept the spelling Doak and some changed it to Dock. Also, that Mark Leason was a son of one of the brothers. I don't know the dates or the names or anything else.
