This 12 room colonial house was built approximately 1870 by Major Joseph Finks, CSA. Barry Hudson owned the home from approximately 1900 to 1950. Then, his daughter, who married a MR. Batteron owned the house from 1950 to 1966. Bert Hudson bought the home in 1966 and moved his family there when he was serving in the USAF in Vietnam. The Bert Hudson family returned to this house when Bert retired from the USAF in 1972 and lived there for the next ten to twelve years. Our children still feel this is their home.
