This picture of my maternal grandmother's brother, John Cyrus. I believe this picture was taken on Uncle John's farm in Summr's County, WV, during the early 1900's. My mother loved to visit Uncle John and she loved the self sufficiency and tranquility that Uncle John derived from his laid back lifestyle and his remote, rural location.
