James Cain Goldy (son of Samuel Birchel Goldy and Elmiah Cain) was born 18 March 1856 in Kirkwood, Glendale, Camden County, New Jersey533, and died 23 July 1939 in Lakeland, Camden County, New Jersey533. He married Elizabeth May Cox on 18 February 1897 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey. Married by a M. H. Burnell of the M. E. Church, Alma Burnell is witness., daughter of Emanuel Cox and Annie Scherer.

He ran a farm near the old racetrack for one of Gloucester's most famous citizen's Billy Thompson. Near Big Timber Creek, Delaware River Toll Gate, next to Dutch Park.
Birth return is in Trenton, NJ. In the Index book it has him listed as James Goldey His death record has his birth date as July 14, 1855. His Return of Births has his birth date as March 18, 1856. (I choose to go with his Return of Birth rather than his death record.)

He died from Chronic Myocarditis (Inflammation of heart muscles) & Chronic Nephritis (Inflammation of the Kidneys) His death was listed in the Gloucester City News, July 27, 1939.
