Elmiah Cain (daughter of James Cain and Sarah Southard) was born 05 May 1834 in Pemberton, Burlington County, New Jersey, and died 01 March 1884 in Ashland, Camden County, New Jersey. She married Samuel Birchel Goldy on 21 January 1854 in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, son of William Corliss Goldy Gooldy and Mary Bennett.

Her marriage to Samuel was in the "Woodbury Constitution". Published January 31, 1854.

In the 1860 Census Waterford Twp., Camden County her name is spelled Elmira and she is living with her husband Samuel, son William, daughter Mary. Also in the same household is a Elizabeth Garwood 17 yrs. & Jesse 10 years.
