Notes for Nellie Unknown: I found her in the 1920 Census for Phila., Pa ED 379 Living with Charles H. Miller-husband Nellie-wife Veronica Coleman-daughter James Coleman-son Harry Coleman-son Naomi Coleman-daughter I find this very interesting since I never heard the family ever mention Charles H. Miller 1920 Census says she immigrated 1891 and naturalized 1913.
Death cert. # 91688 She is buried in Locustwood Memorial Cemetery, Cherry Hill, Camden, New Jersey.
Cause of death: Terminal Pneumonia-Chr. Brain Syndrome
According to the United States Census record, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was living on Marshall St. with her husband and children. It shows her age as 26 which would make her birth date yr. 1874. However, her SS # 203-18-7152 application shows her birth year as 1883. The census record shows her year of immigration as 1897. The 1930 Census shows her immigration as 1894.
The family story says that her parents died in a carriage accident and she came to this county to live with an Aunt & Uncle. My grandmother counldn't remember if her last name was Meaden or Bracy. According to her SS application she has her fathers name as David Coleman and her mother as Charlotte Colyear.
At the time of her SS application she was living at 2011 Frankford Ave., Phila., Pa.
