Probably arrived in Philadelphia on the ship "Edinburgh" out of Rotterdam and Portsmouth, on Sept. 5, 1748, along with Johannes Lorentz. There were listed "Vallentin Hush" & "Vallentin Hush, Junr." on the manifest. Listed in some records as Valentin Hus & Valentin, Jr. Or may have been the Valentin & Michael Huth listed on the ship "Duke of Bedford" arriving in Phila. on Sep. 14, 1751. Surname might also have been later transformed into "Hiss". See son Valentin's notes. Probably moved to Germantown after his arrival in Pennsylvania in 1748.
