I have not followed the Kuglers down after the immigrant in America very far, so I don't know that I can help you. What I do know is that
Johannes Michael Kugler of Grossgartag immigrated to America about 1727, with (it would appear) at least three children, Maria Elisabeth, George, and Joh. Michael. (Note on the latter, I found a notice somewhere attesting to his birthdate and parentage, but lost my record of it and have been unable to relocate it, so I must make the latter assignment with a certain degree of uncertainty.) Maria Elisabeth married Hans Carl Reyer, and eventually would die in Trappe, Montgomery Co. George was a member of the New Gosshehoppen congregation in Salford Twp., Montgomery Co., and if I recall correctly, had one son, Paul, and several daughters. Michael was a bit harder to track down, but he appears to have had a large family, with several sons, including (again, IIRC) a son Carl/Charles. This latter would be of the correct
generation to match your Carl, it would seem. Unfortunately, I have not followed these further, and do not know what came of any of them, so I cannot confirm this. What information does your contact have on the family in Grossgartag? I have looked at the records of the church there, but could only trace Kugler (then Gugler) to immigrant Joh. Michael's parents, George and Agatha. Michael's wife, on the other hand, can be traced through her mother to the Flinsbach family back to the 1500s.
(Note: Todd was asking about William Robert Malloy who had submitted the Kugler family information to Family Tree Maker's World Family Tree. I received no answer or source information from his brother who supposedly did the research. I later did my own original research.)
