Francis Shunk (son of Caspar Shunck)1623, 1624, 1625 was born Bet. 1707 - 17161625, and died Bef. 25 January 1792 in Providence, Montgomery County, Pa1625. He married Elisabetha Reimer on Bet. 1735 - June 17361626, 1627, daughter of Dionysius Friderich Reimer and Elisabetha Weinacht.

Francis Shunk, the grandfather of Gov. Francis R. Shunk, came from the Palatinate, in Germany in 1715, and settled in Providence township.

THE DUNKARD MEETING-HOUSE, AT GREEN TREE, was built in 1833. In 1831 a
congregation was here organized, with Revs. John H. Umstad and Isaac Price
as ministers, and a church were erected, in 1833, on lands donated by Mr.
Umstad. It is a large one story stone building. At present there is a large
congregation worshiping there, with the Rev. Mr. Myers as pastor. The
cemetery was enlarged in 1858. There are Shunks buried there.

wife of Frederick Seiver and John Schunk equally. Execs: Son Christian,
son in law Simon Sweitzer. Wit: Nicholas Cressman, Francis Hobson.

to have 10 pds. of his mother's share, and granddaughter Rebecca Shunk,
5 pds. of her mother's share. To son Jacob, 1 share. To son Frederick,
1 share. To daughter Elizabeth, 1 share. To daughter Hannah, 1 share.

granddaughter Elizabeth Brook, wearing apparel. Rem. of estate to be
equally divided among 3 daughters: Elizabeth, Mary, and Sarah.
