1. JOHN JEFFERSON¹ SANDERSON was born May 31, 1822 in Limestone Co., AL ?, and died March 02, 1884 in Madison Co., TN. He married SUSAN A. "SUKI" LEWIS December 07, 1844 in Limestone County, AL, daughter of Tandy Lewis and Sandy Lewis.

Notes
John was probably born in Alabama. He was in Limestone Co., AL in 1830. Shortly after, he migrated to Madison Co., TN, just over the Mississippi state line. He was a fairly large farm owner in the county by 1877. A county road is named after him "Sanderson."
