"Mrs. Cordia Douglass Dies at Centralia
"Centralia, February 22--Mrs. Cordia Eliza Douglass died at 11 o'clock this morning at her home following an illness of several months.
"Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the Christian church by the Rev. C. C. Riley of Fulton, assisted by the Rev. R. R. Crossfield of Centralia. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Columbia.
"Mrs. Douglass was the daughter of Mary Isabella and Samuel Wesley Turnbough. She is survived by her husband, Lucas R. Douglass, two sons, Clarence Douglass of Belle Garden, Calif., and Arthur Douglass of Kansas City; two brothers, Allen B. Turnbough of Kansas City and Delbert Turnbough of Ashland.
"The body will remain at the Jernigan Funeral home until time for the services."

"The record states, "This to certify that I married William Hamilton and
July Daley on the 30th day of November 1851, both of the county and state
aforesaid. Given under my hand the day and date written. James Barnes,
Minister of the Gospel."
"He and wife Julia are buried in the family plot on what is known as
the Brockman place 4 mi west of Renick, MO. The plot was in very bad
condition in 1974. They and grandmother Sara Perkins who lived with them
died within weeks of each other of typhoid fever."
