Bettencourts, Sumner and Chisnell of Massachusetts
Updated August 11, 2006I am looking for any information on the Bettencourts, Sumner and Chisnell of Massachusetts. My Great Grandparents were James and Jane Sumner of Fall River Mass. My Grandfather Thomas Chisnell was a policeman on the New Bedford Massachusetts Force. He was killed while trying to prevent a person from firing a gun. He was shot in the stomach and died. Sept 1923. My Grandfather on the Bettencourt side died in the 1918 Influenza outbreak. His name was Joseph Bettencourt. |
