My family connections are part of the French Migration from Quebec to Fort Vincennes,IN, Ste. Genevieve, MO, Fort Kaskaskia, IL to Arkansas Post.AR The surnames I am researching include Bogy (Baugis), Duguay, Duplassy, Caillot, Menard, Messager, Racine, Gossiau and Bonneau. Bogy, Racine, Caillot, and Bonneau are proven DAR Patriot Lines. Arrived Beauport, Quebec from France ca 1641. Arrived at Arkansas Post 1787. My family puzzler: Who was Ransom McCall b. ca 1819 in TN who appears in Jefferson County, AR and marries first Theresa Barraque, second Martha Lytle Jones. Jefferson County, AR Catholic Church records of l838 state that he "is a resident of Pulaski County, AR." Census records state his father was from Pennsylvania and his mother from Virginia. Who were his father and mother? Any help would be appreciated. I will share informtion with other researchers. |
