The August Wedler Home Page

I am researching the Wedler family in Lincoln County, Wisconsin. August was born in Germany in 1857 and came to America in 1874. He married Elisabeth Gerbig in Detroit, MI in 1889. They moved to Wisconsin along with most of Elisabeth's family about 1890. We only have rumors about August Frederich Wedler and his past.
Other names being researched besides Wedler and Gerbig are Mielke, Halverson, Hudson, Snow, Carlson, and Oleson/Wilson (they changed their name after leaving Europe). Most of these people lived in northern Wisconsin or Michigan. The Snow family has been traced back to a Barney Snow in Clinton County, NY, in the early 1800's.
