Robert Huestis (Hustis, Huste) emigrated from Weymouth England in 1635, arriving in Dorchester and assigned by the General Council land in Mt. Wollaston (Braintree)in 1640. Later in 1640 he moved to Greenwich, CT and purchase land from the local indians. His decendants established themselves in Stamford/ Greenwich before moving to Westchester, NY.
I have traced Robert Huestis' decendants from New York to Nova Scotia down to the present (15 generations). However, the Revolutionary period needs further clarification. The purpose of this study is to provide my extended family a depository of information that can be expanded by interested indiividuals in the future.
