I am researching my family tree. It seems my ancestors came from Scotland, settled on the East Coast. Most have settled in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and later moved to Ohio. This is my first shot at doing this and I would love to be able to get as much information as I can in order to leave "My Roots" to my grandchildren.
I do know that my 3rd great grandfather lived in Pennsylvania. I do have a copy of a will giving my information about Beaver County.

If you have any suggestions on where to start, I would be very grateful.
