The Huffs/Nugents of Maryland, Indiana, Missouri and Kansas

The Huffs and the Nugents merged when Lewis Bennett Huff married Lucinda Nugent in 1835 in Clarke Co., Indiana. The Nugent family has been traced back to Robert Nugent and Anne Fadery of St. Marys Co., St. Francis Xavier Parish, Md., circa 1700. The Nugent line that I have researched migrated from Maryland to Kentucky to Indiana and finally into Missouri (Andrew Grey Nugent). The Huff line went from Indiana to Missouri and Kansas.

It appears that Lewis Bennett Huff arrived in Indiana from New York but I have no information beyond that.

I have done serious research from genealogy records and county records in Leonardtown, St. Marys Co., Md as well as in the Kansas City, Kansas area.

I am willing to share any information I have and would like to hear from anyone having any information that could add to my research.
