Searching husband's lines John Hughes of Ireland who married Mary Jane Evans in Missouri and settled in Brown County,Kansas.
Searching for his parents. Family is believed to be indirectly connected to the family "Hughes of the Grove" in Dublin Ireland.
John came with brother Stephen Hughes and his wife Annie Mulhall; along with his younger brother Alexander "Alex" Hughes and his wife Isabelle "Belle" and two young girls Mary Ann Ireland "Sis" and Annie Ireland in 1847 to New Orleans from Ireland. Two sisters already in New Orleans prior to their arrival: Jane Hughes (married at the time to a Mr. Ardrey, a lawyer) and Eliza Hughes (possible widow of a Mr. Alster).
A cousin Lavens Matthewson Hughes also born in Ireland and married in U.S. Rachel McBride (a widow with one son)resides in Brown County, Kansas.

Martin is my maiden line and researching my maternal line -The Phillips and Craig lines. Concentrating presently on the
Craig/Sessions 1860-1898 (Ohio to Arkansas/Georgia to Alabama)
Sessions/Pughs 1825-after 1880 (Georgia/Alabama -Mississippi)
Sessions/Whatley 1799-Abt. 1850(North & South Carolina to Georgia/Alabama.

Robert F. Sessions born abt. 1799 (possibly North Carolina) married #1 Patience Pattillo and had several children: and #2 Rebecca Whatley, daughter of Archibald "Archie" Whatley and Frances Sorrell. Robert and Rebecca also had several children.
Trying to sort out the children. Patience died somewhere around 1824 - 1825. At least a total of 11 children between the two wives were fathered by Robert F. Sessions. Some children born right in this time frame. Also trying to sort out Robert's parents and siblings. Father is believed to be a John Sessions. Any assistance is welcome.
