Family Ties that Bind...Relatively, speaking!

Updated September 13, 2008

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been fascinated with how my relatives are related to me and how and where my ancestors lived. Who were they? Several specific things have happened recently to spur me on to finally search the goldmine of information via the internet, my local public library's geneology department, and connecting with those living to tell me the stories as told to them by relatives.

The past year (2005) has proven to be a success as far as my time and energy goes into this project. I started with 1 notebook and 8 branches of my Great Grandparent's lines. I now have 12 notebooks of information. As a budding "geneology researcher," I have lots to learn and lots of wrong and right names/dates to sort through and enter into my Family Tree Maker program as I verify information. Incidentally, I love Family Tree Maker! I highly recommend it! :)

Since panning for "relative-gold," I have verified my maternal Old Order Amish lineage and paternal Royal lineage from William the Conqueror via books and the internet. I am a "blue-blood" as I've discovered...oft times the Amish AND the Royals marry cousins.

I hope you enjoy my website and hope it is a help to you. Please write to me if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments. I have a LOT more data to insert from my notebooks, so be patient with me. Also, I plan to add photos wherever I can.

Because my dear Brother, David, lost his fight with esophageal cancer on November 07, 2005, I dedicate this site to him... I Love ya and miss ya David. See you in Heaven some day!
