Mary Hughes Family Home Page

We are searching for members of family from the Holyhead area, my grandfather was William Charles Hughes and was a Fish and Chip Shop owner and his wife was Ethel Pegrum who was from London. They had five daughters and one son, the eldest daughter died in childhood. The first four children were born in Holyhead and the two were born in London as they moved to London for William Hughes to find work.
William Hughes was a volunteer soldier in World War I and was injured.

Ethel Pegrum's Uncle emigrated to Sydney, Australia, where he had a soft drinks company, he married and had several children.
