  This page has written in pencil, "Charly T Boin born July 22 1886." This refers to Charles Thomas Bowen, brother of Ellis Samuel Bowen.
• Last Page of the Old Testament (153 KB)
  Written in ink on the left is, "Charity Shore was born Dec 9 1824." Charity Long Shore was Ellis S. Bowen's grandmother. Written in pencil on the right is, "Julius G Boin born August 9 1884." Julius Goodman Bowen was my great-grandfather, and a brother to Ellis Samuel Bowen.

  Printed in bluish colored ink are the words "Savanah Shore, March 6 1875, Bethania, Forsythe." This Bible was printed in 1847, and appears to have belonged to Savannah Shore and quite possibly her mother Charity Long prior to her, before being passed down to Ellis Bowen.
