Notes for Caroline Martz: Obituary Dayton Journal Mrs. Caroline Makley, 97 years old, widely known St. Mary's woman died at her home in West Jay Street. She was the oldest woman resident of this city (St. Mary's). Born in Canton, she came to Fort Laramie when a small child and from there moved to St. Mary's when she was 13 years old.
