| Greetings. Being one small person in the great families and people who have preceed our immeiate kin, I welcome you to our site and hope you may find something of use to aid your search. HUGHES - MacDONALD - ALLEN - BALLOU - LAVALLEE - CONANT - ROBE/ROBB - GRANGER - HOWLAND - WHELAN - POKSWINSKI/POKISWINSKI - & Many More My families are emigrated from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and Poland. There is a great deal of information in early New England, the pilgrims and other early settlers of Massachusets and Connecticut. The travel extends into the frontiers of Ohio and the midlands, and eventually into Wisconsin and Minnesota, with this part of the families settling in to the Great Northwest. The settlement of Quebec was a new area and family of discovery found within these geneology pages. I am missing many close relatives who appear out of nowhere, and any help or clues would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for my grandfathers father, who is a mystery to me. My grandfather Raymond Hughes may have sister Viloet to accompay his half sister Victorine. Another is the father of a William McDonald (or MacDonald) in Carolina in the Revolutionary War years, who is another mystery. Someone must know who they are, as they did not spring up from mid air. And perhaps you may find a link herein which aid you to find a missing clue. I have benefitted from the aid of others who have provided me information. Much information is from family records and my own web searches. I suggest you verify with other sources the dates and places. Mistakenly, I did not write down the sources in my early work, I will endeavor to recreate the sources as I can. Much of this information can be verified in other pages, some may not, and I hope you trust my diligence that was given to find the facts. Because of the great amount of information I did not always write down the siblings, that too I will retrace so please revisit from time to time to see if a new link may arise. So again, welcome to this site and please feel free to contact me. I will answer to the best of my ability and as quickly as I can, work can slow me down. I look forward to meeting new family, and helping if I can for others to find theirs. |
