Thomas Blaine Hicks, the eighth child of Hiram Jehu Hicks and Sarah Susan Atchley, was born June 11, 1897, in a log house near Sacville, 5 or 6 miles north of Willard, Greene County, Missouri. He Graduated from Walnut Grove High School. He was a Baptist and a Republican. He had brown eyes, dark brown hair and fair complexion. Height was 5' 10" and weight was 175 lbs. At age 14 he had his right leg amputated below the knee secondary to infection after a spider bite. He was owner of a construction company and constructed roads and ponds.
He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, Missouri. Polk Co., Missouri Cemetery Directory.
