John Huhnke (Germany) was married to Dorothy Luedke, daughter of Daniel Luedke. He had three known children, Michael, Emily and Juliann all born in Germany.
Michael Huhnke (1838-1908) came to America from Germany, on the ship Iris in November 1865. In 1869 he married Augusta Guse (1849-1923), his first cousin, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her father was Christof Guse (1824-1906) and mother was Anna Luedke (1819-1895). Anna's father was Daniel Luedke. They moved to Bayport, MN in 1870.
Emily Huhnke (about 1842-1889) came to America in 1865. In 1869 she married Edward C. Gamm (1844-1926)in New York, New York. His father was Christoph Gamm (1801-1868) and mother was Elizabeth Borchert (1802-1869. They moved to Bayport, MN in 1875, then to St. Paul, MN in 1886.
Juliann Huhnke (1853-1932) came to America in 1881. In 1873 she married Rudolph Philip Lehrer (1850-1938) in Neuen Kirchen, Germany. His father was Philip Lehrer and mother was Florentina Arndt.
