I am currently researching the Rigsbys and the Underwoods of South Georgia. Almost all members of these two families were born in and lived around Chattahoochee and Marion County, Georgia. Just about the only member born elsewhere is John William Rigsby, my 3rd great-grandfather. He was born Oct 15, 1825 in Jones County, Georgia, to Gavin and Martha Rigsby. His parents died before he was six years old. I have alot of information about John William Rigsby, but not much about his parents. I would like to know how and when they died.On the Underwood side of the family, I am researching the ancestors of John T. Underwood, born Dec 22, 1862, in either Chattahoochee or Marion County, Georgia. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
