I began researching my family history because, when I was in the 7th grade reading "Evangeline", my grandfather told me that we also were Acadian. His Acadian family was my first one, and I followed them from New Brunswick, Canada into Madawaska, Maine in the 19th century. My grandfather, following logging, met my grandmother, Anna Falenscheck (born in Prussia) in Minnesota around the turn of the century.

My other grandparents, Louis Donais and Roseanna Dalbec, were both born of French Canadian stock, born in Minnesota. His twenty children and their families make up most of my database.

I have tried to be accurate, and I would appreciate any input to make the data more accurate.
