I am researching the William Sherman Norton family. I have found him in the 1920 IA census. It shows William along with Walter Glen living in Webster City, Hamilton, IA. It doesn't show Sarah Jane Dutcher, William's wife as being in the household at that time.
We (myself and a cousin) have reached a dead end in researching our family history. We have gotten back as far as our great-grandfather, William Sherman Norton and his wife, Sarah Jane Dutcher. Our grandfather, Hulbert "Bert" Everett Norton married Daisy Marie Reynonlds Hill. They had 8 children. They divorced and Daisy married Bert's brother, Walter Glenn Norton. Glenn, as he was known, is the grandfather that I grew up knowing. I met Grandpa Bert only once, when he and his wife, Carrie Sanders, came to West Texas to visit us.
We recently lost one of our aunts - Ruby Leora Ball. She passed from this life on July 14, 2006. She was my source of information for years. She will be missed greatly by all.
