Alabama after the war.Sol married Mertlette Angelee Haley, of Haleyville, AL, in 1878.They later relocated to OK then TX, settling in Greenville, Texas, with their 8 children. Tishomingo Co., MS, dau of Moses Lydell and Margaret Ann _____, Moses also a ME minister. Guilford Co., NC Wills Book B 33, B:0434: William Dickson Prb 7 Feb, 1817:wife, Nancy, 10 shillings; Youngest son, John Dickson - 100 ac N of my tract from William Dickson's line to Samuel Goff's line, half benefit of orchard for 10 yrs, bed; GrSon William Dickson, son of Robert, 100 ac, house & orchard; Son Robert, lifetime interest in his son William's place; GrSon James Pircheson (sic) remaining land; my 3 sons - carpentry & cooper tools, farming tools; my children - my books to be equally divided; daus Nancy Pilkonton (Pilkenton, Pilkington), Martha Idelot (Aydlott, Aidelett)equally receive profits from sale of goods & chattels sold after just debts paid.
