1. ELIJAH² HESTER (ROBERT¹) was born 1783 in North Carolina-County of Granville, and died March 29, 1872 in Mississippi-County of Madison. He married FRANCES MALONE March 21, 1815 in Georgia-County of Warren, daughter of ANDREW MALONE and ELIZABETH YANCY. She was born July 01, 1793 in Georgia, and died December 04, 1887 in Mississippi-County of Madison.

Notes for ELIJAH HESTER:
Elijah joined the army during the war of 1812. He served in Captain James Neal's Company of infantry, 3 regiment Georgia State Troops commanded by Col. Ignatius A. Few. He is listed on the company roll as entering the service on September 23, 1814, and then he deserted on Novemebr 12, 1814.
When Frances applied for Elijah's pension in January of 1877, she said that they married May, 1813 and that Bradford Dow was born in February 1814 while Elijah was gone to war. In a different letter it states that they married May 21, 1815 in Warren County, Georgia.
They moved to Mississippi shortly after he returned from the war.
Thomas Noble (2nd child) was listed as being born in Mississippi on February 10, 1816.
On the Family Tree Maker-Marriage Disk # 226 it has their marriage date listed as March 21, 1915
in Warren County, Georgia.
