He married MARY BELLE BENNETT February 13, 1887 in Arkansas-County of Lonoke, daughter of MONTGOMERY BENNETT and MARGARET CAMPBELL. She was born November 04, 1867 in Brownsville, Tennessee-County of Haywood, and died January 06, 1941 in Arkansas-County of Lonoke.

Notes for HIRAM SIDNEY HESTER:
The story that was told to me by Opal Hester Burns the Grand-daughter of Hiram S. Hester-Hiram S. Hester did not know much about what went on around him the last few years of his life, his mind was not right. Opal remembers taking his hand and leading him around when she was just 3 years old and she would say " sing Pa and he would sing (In the sweet by and by.")


Hiram Hester received a warranty deed from his farther for land in Lonoke County described as the south half of southeast quarter of section 19, 37 acres off northwest quarter of said southeast quarter of section 19 in township 3 north range 8 west containing 117 acres. Warranty deed is dated may 12, 1884.

Notes for MARY BELLE BENNETT:
The Hester home place land on highway 31 in Lonoke County, Arkansas was bought in 1903 by Brad, Raymond and Mary Bennett Hester after her husband Hiram S. Hester passed away. The land was bought from a man by the name of Mr. Burkhead. When Mary Hester passed away it then went to Brad and Raymond Hester. The old home place was built in 1918 by all 3 of them. After Brad and Raymond Hester passed away it then when to Brads wife Jessie and his son Robert Lee Hester. The screened in back porch was built in 1928.
The home next to the Hester home place was built in 1916 and was called the Johnson Home Place it was occupied by Jim Woodard Johnson & family.


I do not know if Mary Bennetts birthdate is correct, her tombstone says her birthdate is1866. But the family bible has her birthdate as 1867, it is in the possession of Willene Hester McKinnis.
Emma Lee, Mary Belle Bennetts sister's tombstone has her birthdate as 1866. Emma is suppose to have been born in June of 1866, so I believe the family bible may be right and Mary Bennett Hester was born in 1867.
