| I am currently researching the following surnames: Hunt, Yarrington, Nickerson, Jones, Terrell, Walker, McDonald, and Fox.I have traced the Hunt name to Rensseler or Chenango Counties in New York 1830 for Charles J. Hunt and Mary Ann ?. For the Yarrington name, I have traced back to Theodore and Maryann of Red Oak, Iowa in 1876. The Nickerson are traced back to Clarance in Iowa circa 1880. Terrell back to Joseph born in 1859 in Iowa. Walker back to Jesse E. Walker born 1838 Thompkins County, New York. McDonald back to Daniel born 1820 in Ohio. Fox back to John A. born 1811 in New York. Other names of interest: Cummings and Challis. I am espically interested in knowing the maiden name for Margaret Sophronia Hunt, the wife of Charles Johnathan Hunt born 7-29-1829 in New York. They made their home in Jackson Township, Benton County, Vinton, Iowa approx. 1850. I am willing to share any info that I have that may be usefull to others. |
