I am searching for surnames of: TOWNENDI am looking for information on adoption of my father Donald Ray TOWNEND by John and Maude Townend probably in Dayton or Springfield, Ohio. Donald Townend was born March 21,1921. I believe in Dayton, Ohio and was adopted when he was appromately 18 months old. My father has passed away-- For many years John and Maude and sister of John, Harriet, lived and worked in Springfield, Ohio.

John and Maude had no other children. Maude however was married to a McCoy and had two children, Lucille McCoy who later married a Mendenhall and lived in Springfield, Ohio and Bob McCoy who had one child, I believe, that died at a young age. Bob McCoy lived in Michigan and I believe moved to Florida late in life. All of the above mentioned are deceased.
