I am seeking names and vital dates about the parents of Spencer G. Hurst born about 1809 in Orange County, North Carolina. He married Catharine Marcum and they produced 11 children. They left North Carolina and settled in Branchville, Alabama where he became a stage stop/tavern/inn owner and the first postmaster in that area. I am also interested in spouse/family information about their children, especially Matthew Napolian Hurst.

I am also interested in information about The Robert B. Walters family. He was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia around 1826. He left Virginia and settled in Vernon, Alabama where he married
Elizabeth Simpson, daughter of Jeremiah Simpson. They moved to an area near Pinson, Alabama known as Oregon.

Any help will be appreciated.
