      14. Nimrod3 Hussung (Jacob2 Hussong, Jacob1 Hussung) was born 1802 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, and died 1880 in Carroll County, Kentucky. He married Lucinda Hurst 1 July 1830 in Henry County, Kentucky, daughter of Fielding Hurst and Mary Winkfield. She was born 1806 in Henry County, Kentucky, and died Unknown.

This indenture mad this 28th day of February 1832 between Jacob Hussung and Daniel Hussung both of Gallatin County and state of Ky. of the one part and Nimrod Hussung of the county and state aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Jacob & Daniel in consideration of $35.00 to them in hand paid by the said Nimrod the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained who released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell, release and confirm unto the said Nimrod and to his heirs and assigns forever all of a certain lot or parcel of ground situated and being in Warsaw Ky, number 107- together with all and singular the here------- and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or appertaining and the reversion and reversing, remainder and remainders rents --- and profits there of and every part and parcel thereof and also all the estate right title interest --- property claims & demands whatsoever both at law and equity of the said Jacob and Daniel their heirs or assigns or of or by any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim from by or under or in trust for themselves or any other persons . And that the said lot is now and shall from hereaforth continue remain and be unto the said Nimrod his heirs and assigns free and clear and freely and clearly are acquitted exonerates and discharges of against all former an other ------- bargain sales, mortgages estates titles troubles charges & incumbances whatsoever has made done committed occurred or enforced by the said Jacob & Daniel or by any person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under the aforesaid Jacob & Daniel or by any of their acts means apart or procurement. And said Jacob & Daniel and their heirs & all singular the aforesaid lot or parcel of ground situated on aforesaid into the said Nimrod and aforesaid against the said Jacob and Daniel their heirs and assigns, shall an will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witnesseth whereof we do here subscribe our names this day and date above written..

This indenture made this 3rd day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty four between Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda his wife of the County of Henry and State of Kentucky of the one part and Tomson Blunt of the County of Gallatin and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Nimrod Hussung for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth grant bargained and sell unto the said Tomson Blunt his heirs and assigns one whole and undivided lot lying situated and being in the town of Warsaw Gallatin county Kentucky. Known on the plate of said town and lot No. one hundred and seven together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold the said lot hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Tomson Blunt his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Hussung for himself his heirs executors and administrators the aforesaid lot and appurtenances unto the said tomson Blunt his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of any and every person or persons whatsoever doth and forever covanent and defend by these presents. In witnesseth whereby the said Nimrod Hussung with Lucinda Hussung his wife who hereby relinquish her right of dower in and to the premises conveyed by this deed have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and date first above written...

This indenture made and entered into this 25th day of November A. D. 1850 between Francis Baldwin of Gallatin County and State of Kentucky of the first part and Nimrod Hussung of the County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of seventy four dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Francis Baldwin hath bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain and convey unto the said Nimrod Hussung his heirs and assigns the following described lot or parcel of land being and situated on the Turnpike road leading from Warsaw in the Southerly direction said lot fronting on said road 66 feet commencing at the southwest corner of the lot on which said Hussung now resides and running back from said read with said Hussung lot 92 1/2 feet being the north side of said lot the south side of said lot running back from said road eastwardly 88 1/2 feet parallel with said north side said lot being between said Hussung and David Edwards. to have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land together with all and singular the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Nimrod Hussung his heirs &c forever. And the said Francis Baldwin for himself his heirs the said lot or parcel of land unto the said Nimrod Hussung his heirs against the claim or demand of all and every person or persons whatever doth and will by these presents for ever warrant and defend. Mortgage: Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung

July 25th 1851

This indenture mad and entered into the 25th day of July A. D. 1851 between Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung his wife of the county of Gallatin and state of Kentucky of the first part and William M. Hopkins of the county and state aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and eighty three dollars and fifty six cents to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs forever a certain lot or parcel of land situated lying and being in the said county of Gallatin near the town of Warsaw on the turnpike road leading out south from said town being the same lot conveyed to said hussung by Francis Baldwin by deed dated Nov. 25 1850 and is bounded as follows: Beginning at the south west corner of the lot on which said Hussung now resides and thence southwardly fronting on said turnpike road sixty six feet and running back from said road ninety two and a half feet and lies adjoining to said Hussung home lot. to have and to hold said lot of land with all and singular the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said William M. Hopkins his heirs ^c hereby warranting the title to said premises against all claim whatsoever. But this conveyance is made upon this agreement and understand: That whereas the said Nimrod Hussung stand justly indebted to the said William M. Hopkins in the just deed and full sum of one hundred and eighty three dollars and 56 cents as in evidence by a note for that amount, drawn by said Hussung in favor of said Hopkins dated this day and due and payable on or before the first day of March next. Now should the said Hussung or any one for him, well and truly pay off and discharge the said note when the same shall become due and payable according to its time and effect, together with all occurring interests and all cost in case the said note shall have to be collected by law, then this conveyance and every part thereof shall be void, else to be and remain in full force and virtue.

Hopkins was on the 25th day of July 1851 produced to me in my office by said grantors and acknowledge by the said Nimrod Hussung to be his act and deed, and the said Lucinda Hussung being examined by me privately and apart from her said husband declared that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver said writing and wished not to be detract it, and acknowledged the said ----- again herein and explained to her to be her act and deed and concluded that it might be recorded whereupon the said deed mortgage together with this certificate hath been truly recorded in my said office this 28th day of July A. D. 1851

This indenture made and entered into this 21st day of May 1853 between Nimrod Hessong of the first part and Joel Baker , Bowman C. Baker and N. H. Sinclear, merchants, trading under the firm & title of J. Baker, Oleo of the second part witnesseth that the said Hessong for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the premises herein after understand hath bargained sold and by these presents doth bargain sell alien and convey bargain and deliver unto the said parties of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land situated and lying being in the county of Gallatin and being the same parcel of land which said Hessong purchased of Francis Baldwin and for a more particular description of said land the deed from said baldwin is referred to Records book N. Page 98 to have and to hold the said land hereby conveyed to them the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever.
Notwithstanding this agreement is made on this express understanding and agreement that whereas the said Hessong is indebted to the said Joel Baker, Bowman C. Baker and N. H. Sinclear in the interest and full sum of one hundred and forty three dollars and 73 cents with interest from the 26th day of May 1852 until paid evidenced by a Judgment rendered in the Gallatin Circuit Court at its April Ten 1853 against said Hessong and in favor of the above named Baker and N. H. Sinclear now if said Hessong pays or causes to be paid the said judgments and every part thereof on or before the first day of May 1854 there in that --- this indenture to be null and void , otherwise to remain in full force and virtue, witnesseth my hand and seal this 21st day of May 1853.

This indenture made and entered into this 12 day of December A. D. 1854 between Robert Steinman and Elizabeth Steinman his wife of the county of Gallatin and state of Kentucky of the first part and Nimrod Hussung of the same county and state of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Robert Steinman and Elizabeth Steinman his wife for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Nimrod Hussung a part of lot No. 199 one hundred ninety nine, lying and being in the town of Warsaw, Gallatin County Ky. and bounded as follows. commencing at I.I. C. Furnishes south corner on Main cross street running south on main cross south 31 1/2 feet, thence a cross to the Old State Road, thence west to the beginning on main cross street. To have and to the aforesaid lot or parcel of ground together with all and singular the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Nimrod Hussung his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Robert Steinman and Elizabeth Steinman his wife, for themselves their heirs & c. covenant and agree to and with the said Nimrod Hussung his heirs &c. to warrant and defend the title to the aforesaid tract of land free from the claim or demand of all and every person or persons, claiming or to claim the same whatever so far as to refund the purchase money herein named in case the same should ever be lost to said Hussung on those holding under him.

This indenture made an entered into this 20th day of April 1857 between Nimrod Hussung an Lucinda Hussung his wife of the first part and Enoch Sagone of the second part, witnesseth that the said Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung his wife for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and forty dollars ($140.00) in hand paid the receipt which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell and convey to Enoch Sagone a part of lot no 0ne hundred ninety nine (199) lying and being in the town of Warsaw Gallatin County Kentucky and bounded as follows viz: Commencing at I.I. C. Furnishes corner on the Old State Road thence up to the beginning on Main Cross Street for which lot there has heretofore a deed executed by said Hussung to said Sagone but either lost or mislaid and being the same property conveyed by Robert Steinman to said Nimrod Hussung of record in the Gallatin County Court clerks office Deed Books O page 200 to have and to hold the aforesaid lot or parcel of ground together with all and singular the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Enoch Sagone his heirs and assigns forever and the said Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung his wife covenant and agree with the said Sagone his heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the premises hereby conveyed against all claims whatever.

This indenture made and entered into this 29th day of March A. D. 1859 between Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda his wife of the first part and John T. Robinson of the second part witnesseth that the said N. Hussung and Lucinda his wife for and in consideration of one hundred dollars ($100.00) to them in hand paid hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John T. Robinson all that certain lot or parcel of ground in County of Gallatin laying on the Turnpike Road running out from Warsaw adjoining the lot purchased by Hussung from Bett Brashear and commencing at the corner of said lot and running thence south with the Turnpike road 66 feet to the corner of the lot of R.N. T. Carr thence 92 1/2 feet east to the Brashears thence with a line of said lot to the beginning. To have and to hold said described premises together with all an singular the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Robinson and his heirs forever and the said Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda his wife convenant and agree to and with the said Robinson to warrant the title to said premises free from the claim or demand of all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same whatever . This indenture made and entered into this the 9th day of June 1871 between Josephus Johnston and Amanda Johnston his wife of Owen County Kentucky of the first part and Nimrod Hussung of the County of Carroll and state of aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty two 50/100 dollars ($152.50) paid as follows to wit! Forty three 50/100 dollars ($43.50) of which sum is in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the remainder one hundred and nine dollars ($109.00) is evidenced by a note of hand payable 1st day of March 1871 bearing date March 21st 1870 witnessed by Thos. Johnston, hath granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell convey and deliver unto the said second party a certain tract of lot of land lying and situated in Carroll County Ky. on the waters of Eagle Creek and bounded as follows. to wit! Beginning at a stake in William Sanders line running with the short line Rail Road to the first drain, thence down said drain to a birch, thence in a northerly direction until arriving opposite said Sanders house, thence in an easterly direction to said Sanders Line, thence with the said line to the beginning, containing two & one fourth acres. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said N. Hussung his heirs &c forever. And the said party of the first part for themselves their heirs and executors &c do covenant to and with said Nimrod Hussung to forever warrant and defend the title the premises herein conveyed against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whom so ever. This indenture made and entered into this 15th day of November 1880, between Lucinda Hussung, William S. Hussung, James A. Hussung, N. Price Hussung and Florence Hussung, his wife, William Mason and his wife Sarah E. Martin, parties of the first part and Louis A. Day, party of the second part,. Witnesseth, that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars to them in hand paid by the party of the second part receipt of which is acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant ,sell, convey and deliver to said Louis A. Day his heirs and assigns in fee simple the following described track of land in Carroll County Ky. to wit! Beginning at the stake in William Sanders line running with the Short Line Railroad to the first drain, thence down said drain to a branch, thence in a Northwardly direction until among opposite said Sanders house, thence in a eastwardly direction to said Sanders line, thence with his said line to the beginning , containing two and one fourth acres, it being the same property conveyed by Joseph Johnson and wife, to Nimrod Hussung by deed of date June 9 1871, the parties of the first part having inherited it from their father the said Nimrod Hussung. To have and to hold said property unto said Louis A. Day , his heirs and assigns forever with convenant of general warranty. February 27th 1872

This indenture made this 27th day of February 1872 between Wyant O. Lewis of the first part and William S. Hussung of the second part witnesseth that the party of the first part in consideration of the sum of seven hundred fifty seven dollars & fifty cents ($757.50) of which amount the sum of four hundred dollars is in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and for the payment of the balance two promissory notes are executed of even date here with for the sum of one hundred and seventy eight 75/100 dollars each one payable in one and the other in two years after date both bearing interest from date & fro the payment of said notes a lien is expressly retained on the premises hereafter conveyed has bargained and sold and by these presents do convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Carroll and state of Kentucky and described as follows: Viz! being that part of the tract of land belonging to the heirs of Merrit Lewis deed, that was allotted to said W. O. Lewis and conveyed to him by Ben O'Neal and Wesley Dean Commissioners appointed by the Carroll County Court by deed dated July 3, 1871 and bounded as follows to wit! Beginning at a stake in a branch corner to Lot No 5 in said division, thence down the same 571 degrees w. 20 poles, s 83 degrees w. 60 poles, s 39 degrees, w 21 poles, thence n. 47 degrees w. 87 poles thence n. 47 degrees E. 107 poles to John Coppers corner, thence s. 37 degrees E. 117 poles to the beginning containing fifty four and one half acres, except the part of said land enclosed by John Croppers supposed to contain four acres this being a sale of fifty and one half acres at fifteen dollars per acre. To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances unto the party of the second part doth further covenant with the said party of the second part that he will warrant and forever defend the title to the foregoing described land and premises from the claim of all and every person wheresoever, In testimony whereof said party of the first part hath hereto set his hand and seal date first above.

I, R. T. Harrison clerk of the Carroll County Court do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument of writing from W. O. Lewis to W. S. Hussung was produced to me in my office on the 27th day of February 1872 and was duly acknowledged by the said grantor to be his act and deed duly warrants as required by oath of --- and ledgers of record of record. Whereafter the same together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record witnesseth my hand this 27th day of February 1872.

This indenture made and entered into this 13th day of March 1873 between Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung his wife of Carroll County Kentucky of the first part and William Sandford Hussung of the aforesaid County and State of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell convey and deliver unto the said second party a certain tract or lot of land lying and situated in Carroll County Ky. on the waters of Eagle Creek and bounded as follows, to wit: Beginning at county road next to the Rail Road running with Wm. Sanders line to the top of the hill thence to the county road , thence with the county road to the beginning containing one fourth of an acre. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances therin to belong unto the said William Sandford Hussung his heirs &c forever and the said party of the first part for themselves their heirs and executors &c do covenant to and with said William Sandford Hussung to forever warrant and defend the title to the premises herein conveyed against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said party of the first part have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seal the day and date first above written.

I, R. T. Harrison clerk of the Carroll county Court do hereby certify that the foregoing Deed from Nimrod Hussung and Lucinda Hussung his wife to William S. Hussung was this day produced to me in my office and was duly acknowledged by the said grantors to be their act and deed the same was then lodged to be and is with this certificate duly recorded in my office. Witnesseth my hand this 17th day of November 1873.

February 16th 1876

This indenture made and entered into this 16th of February 1876 between William S. Hussung of Carroll Co. Kentucky of the first part and W. D . Rudd of the aforesaid county and state of the 2nd part, witnesseth that the party of the 1st. part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) in hand paid in receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey and deliver unto the party of the 2nd part a certain tract or lot of land lying and situated in Carroll County Kentucky on the waters of Eagle Creek and bounded as follows, to wit! Beginning at County Road next to Rail Road running with William Sanders lines to top of the hill, thence to County Road ,thence with the County Road to the beginning corner containing one fourth of an acre. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging into the said W. D. Rudd to his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part for themselves there heirs and executors &c do covenant to and with said W. D. Rudd to forever warrant and defend the title and the premises herein conveyed as with the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the party of the first has here unto set his hand and seal the day and date first above written...
