JAMES HUSTON was born 1690 in Ballymoney, Antrim, Ireland.
He married Mary Sloss who was born 1691 in Kilmrnock, Ayr, Scotland.
James and Mary Huston came to America from Ireland about 1725 with their seven children. They finally settled down in Bristol, Lincoln, Maine around 1729.
In 1747 their home was attacked by Indians and burned down, one of their children was killed during the attack. They escaped to Boxon and later returned to Bristol to build another home on the same site.
It is said that this land is still in possession of James and Mary Huston's descendants to this day.
James and Mary Huston are my great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents! Wow, that's a mouth full to say.
I am in the process of creating my family tree with the information that I have so far. I am also searching for James Huston's parents.
I have spent alot of time and effort in seeking this information for my family tree. I want to especially thank my mother, Jean, for all of her help. I wouldn't be where I am today without her help.
