My great grandfather William was a Lance Corporal with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, redgiment 792 company #2. He was killed at 2 am on January 25, 1915 from a bullet wound in the back and is buried in Dickebuse Old Millitary Cemetary, Belgium. He was born on November 25, 1876 in Owen Sound, Ontario. Ednas father was Jonathan Leonard Smith, of Smith Falls, his father being Rev. Smith and her mother was Flora Jane Forester of Forester Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Williams father is thought to have been Thomas Huston and his mother name Jane. Thomas was reported to have been born in Owen Sound as well and was the eldest of an unknowen number of children. He eloped with the lords daughter and went to Canada where Lord Wakefield found them and his daughter beening pregnat the Lord returned to Ireland and Dis-owend her.
