George Roslyn Adams (b. March 12, 1802, d. November 15, 1888)
George Roslyn Adams (son of Daniel Adams and Elizabeth unknown Adams) was born March 12, 1802 in farm near Lovettsville, Loudon Cty, Va., and died November 15, 1888. He married (1) Mary Ann Holbert on October 17, 1853 in Preston County, western Virginia. He married (2) Elizabeth Bowman Neville on January 21, 1869. He married (3) Mary Scott Moore on April 23, 1874 in Kingwood, West Va by Rev A C Snodgrass.
Notes for George Roslyn Adams: When he remarried in 1874, he gave his age as 65, although he was 71 or 72. Only known disability was a hernia. In one hx, Roslyn is Roszel & Rosil. Also, wife's name appears as Halbert & Halbirt. GRA did some farming, operated a grist mill at Panther Run, and was a road boss. Became ill while visiting re- latives on Lanz Ridge & was burried in the Lantz Ridge cemetery. Appears in Hx Tucker Cty (see 101) where daughter & son-in-law Wm Lipscomb are discussed.
