The families that I'm trying to locate information on are as follows:Piper/Peiper family from Pennsylvania of German extract (John "Adam" Piper (Pfeiffer) lineGerth/GurthOstranderHarveyGreenawaltWeber/WebberZollinger/Sollinger/SullingerSprinkleAndrewsBevardPeckKalbWolfHoerrAlesGendaGreisserHellmanHutchisonSchrockThompsonGuingrideIrons/IrionsLemonsSharp/SharpeThese are just some of the main surnames I'm working on at this point. Most of the families came either from NY or PA and worked westward. A few like the Ostrander's and Gerth's I've been told came from MD and/or Mass. west. The Sharp/Sharp line the earliest information I have is from the Hickory area of NC westward. The Andrews I'm looking for information on was a direct like kin to the Andrews Sisters group. The Hutchison's were said to be from the Meadville area of PA. The Kalbs were in Burlington,IA and IL. The Peck's were supposedly in the Platsburg,NY area in the 1900's.The Hellman's Genda's and Greissers were in IL in the central part in the 1900's,evidently new comers as they still spoke German between themselves at home from what I've been told. The Schrock's were from France where they are also Gerrard's, Germany where they are Scrock, and Switzerland where the name is spelled Schragg and pronounced Schrack.These listed have proven to be my problem children as the information is sketchy at best and hard to locate. Any help on these would be appreciated.
