Notes for Annie Cull: Annie Cull became an actress, and from what I have learned from a relative, she married a "Mr Hart" who was also upon the stage. They had children, and Kate raised the children as Annie was travelling and acting. There is apparently a family connection between Annie , "Mr.Hart" and Leslie Howard, who acted in "Gone with the Wind" and while acting for British Intelligence in W.W.II II was shot down on a flight to the U.K. by an enemy aircraft. There is a short reference to this episode in the book "A Man Called Intrepid" by Sir William Stephenson, who was in charge of British Intelligence. The writer was unable to make a positive connection in the above. Leslie Howard was probably a stage name, and some secrets of the war years are still kept by the powers that be!
