Joel Plumlee (son of Isaac Plumlee and Margaret Bradshaw) was born August 27, 1800 in White County, Tennessee, and died February 1863 in Stone County, Missouri. He married Rachel Simmons, daughter of James Simmons and Statia Roberts.

Joel was evidently a twin of William. He was born in White County, Tennessee.
Moved to Carroll County, Arkansas early 1832. Left at outbreak of Civil War and
returned to Stone County, Missouri on the White River. He is buried on land
which is now a part of Table Rock Lake. They could not find his grave marker
to move his remains before they flooded the lake.
