John Novak emigrated to the United States from Yugoslavia (Austria-Hungary) in the early 1910. His fiance, Mary, followed after him in 1911. They married on September 17, 1911 at Saint George's Church on 96th and Ewing Avenue on the southeast side of Chicago. They had nine children. They lived in Chicago on East 95th Street. John was a pattern maker for Standard Oil in Whiting, Indiana. |
