John and Elizabeth had another son named John, b. 1777 d. 1778.
John was noted in the Universal British Directory for Bucks., 1790-1798, as a millwright from Wycombe. He and his sons William and John were listed as wheelers in the Posse Comitatus Feb. 1798. This was a census of able-bodied men ages 15-60 organized by the sheriff of Bucks, in case of Napoleonic invasion. Wheelwrights often doubled as millwrights in the countryside.
