I began my research not knowing anything about my name or family, so why not start with what "Hyatt" means. It has two translations, that I know of so far. In arabic it's meaning is "Worldly", and in English is the "Gate Keeper". That was the easy part, it seems that the Hyatt's live up to their worldly name by simply disappearing form view. I am no different, as I have traveled the world many times and enjoyed every adventure.

I am in search of many Hyatt's, but the most elusive is, my great grandfather, Freeman Hyatt. He was a farmer in Indiana, who later moved to Florida. Born probably in Indiana around 1888, and married Ruth Bellamy. Their two children Richard and Verlus have been found, and even to them Freeman is a mystery.

So this site, like many others, is dedicated to finding the answers to many questions. Other great names that have helped create the Hyatt's, of this family, are Bennett, Ellis,Price,Johnson, Murchison, McCallister,Wallett and Hall. All are a mystery of their own and are begging to be solved.

Feel free to contact me if you think you might have a peice of the puzzle. And to all the wonderful people who have alredy contributed to this search, I thank you. I couldn't have gotten this far with out your help.
