Etolia Alexander (daughter of Joseph Isaac Alexander and Lula Lee Hyde)1 was born December 25, 1911 in Webster Co. Mo., and died December 19, 2006 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Mo.. She married Perry J. Shook on Bef. 1930.
Notes for Etolia Alexander: Etolia Shook 94, Marshfield, was born December 25, 1911, in Niangua, Mo., to Isaac and Lula (Hyde) Alexander and passed away at 4:25 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2006, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Etolia was the last surviving charter member of the Marshfield Sorosis Club. She was active in the church with membership in the women's circles and in providing many floral arrangements for church services. She was a volunteer worker in the Marshfield Child Development Center, and was past president of the Marshfield Garden Club and received recognition for her 50 years membership. She was married to Perry J. Shook, a former Webster County superintendent of Schools and County Commissioner. Surviving is her son Don and his wife, June, Overland Park, Kan,; her daughter Marthann Hoover, Springfield; a sister, Lillian Price, Charleston, Ill.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2006, in Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Revs. Gary Griffin and Dwight Gressell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time Saturday in the funeral home. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Marshfield United Methodist Chruch.
