"The Marshfield Chronicle" Dec. 5, 1907 : Died: At his home near Susanna, Mo. with pneumonia on Dec. 3, 1907, Samuel, third son of B. F. & Mattie Hyde - aged nearly 18 yrs. Sam, as he was called, leaves father, mother, three sisters and four brothers. Burial was at Old Prospect.
