* Spendloves/Bamfords/Pike/Draper/Parry/Evans*

Updated April 23, 2005

My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Draper, her mother's maiden name was Spendlove. Further back than that on that side of the family the surname Bamford appears on both sides. I am therefore interested in Bamfords in Northamptonshire, Spendloves in Northamptonshire - originating in Deene, Northants. Also Draper Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Porter, Northamptonshire - for starters!

My paternal grandfather's surname was Pike - he came originally from Luton and I am interested in any information about that side of the family. Since putting my original message on I have found out much more about the Pike side of the family. Although my grandfather was born in Luton his family on the paternal side came from St Albans and go back several generations there. His mother's maiden name was Head and she came from London.

My mother's side of the family is a difficult one to research, because her maiden name was Parry, she came from Wales and her mother's maiden name was Evans! The Parry family originating in Clyro, Radnorshire and that area. The Evans from Trefil, Breconshire. Any information on the above would be welcome.

My husband's family is also difficult to research as there are lots of Jones.
