| I am researching my family tree. My father's name was Edward Leonard Ignaszak (d. 8/19/69), born in Hales Corners, WI (outside Milwaukee) to Sally (Salomea) Maciejewski and Frank Ignaszak. Sally M. was born in Poland and immigrated here at the age of three months. Frank was born somewhere around Detroit, MI, although I have not been able to find the specific place. Frank grew up on a farm near Pulaski, WI. His father's name was Lawrence Ignaszak and his mother was Maryann Traszkowski. The spelling of their surnames differs significantly in the various recors I have found. Maryann died and Lawrence remarried when Frank was a young man. He joined the Merchant Marine on the Great Lakes for a few years and then settled in the Milwaukee area where he married Sally. My mother is Estelle Ignaszak. Her parents are Casimir Gembarowski and Victoria Jendrezewski. Estelle is the youngest of 13 children. My great grandparents on my mother's side are Katarzyna Repel, Stanislaw Jendrejewski, Mary Grybosz and John Gembarowski. Any help in making connections to these name is greatly appreciated. |
